Synchronizing Contact, Task and Calendar in Windows XP Chinese version

To correctly display contacts and tasks in Chinese under a Chinese version of Windows XP, you will need to change the language for non-Unicode programs to Chinese.

  1. Log on into your PC as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.
  2. Click on Start, Control Panel, and then click on Regional and Language Options.
  3. Click on the Advanced tab, under Language for non-Unicode programs, select the language version of non-Unicode programs that will be used, for example, Chinese(PRC).
  4. Create your own Contact, Task and Calendar list in the Microsoft Outlook accordingly.
  5. Go to My Computer, locate and double click on the Creative (Vision or Vision:M) Media Explorer to open it.
  6. Click on the Synchronize with Outlook button to start, and follow the procedures on the screen.
  7. If Microsoft Outlook displays a message as shown below, click Yes to continue.

  8. Once it is completed, the Creative Sync Manager will indicate how many items are transferred. Click Finish to complete the process.
